My Quilting Week

I've been cutting up scraps of fabric and applique pieces for most of this year, so when I finally got to sit down at a sewing machine and quilt the Vintage Holiday quilt, I tell you, it was just bliss.  I even forced myself to take a break midway to allow myself time to savor it.  I didn't realize how much I missed sitting in front of the sewing machine!

I decided not to birth it and still need to bind it, but since I missed the deadline for Project Quilting, I'm wondering if I should move on to the next quilt with a deadline - the improv rail fence, so that maybe it gets done close to its deadline!

Week 4 of 15 Minutes to Stitch

This week, I cut up some more scraps, but most of my week was spent making the Vintage Holiday quilt.

15 Minute sessions of stitching this week:  7 out of 7
15 Minute sessions of stitching this year:  27 out of 27 sessions

I too am always surprised at how much I miss my sewing machine when there's a stretch of time that I'm away from it. It truly is therapeutic. Great job on the quilting!

I see red everywhere. On Julie's blog, on the RSC blocks for January and now here. The scarves flying in the air are so cute and awesome. I love the dog. He is running so fast as if he is on fire!!!

Your Vintage Holiday Quilt (or is it a pillow?) is just delightful. I love the red people and letters on the white snow and the red background behind the white trees and houses. It's the perfect thing to work on in the winter!

Love your Vintage Holiday project. Red is such a fun color to stitch with, especially when it's dreary outside. You've done very well with finding time to stitch this year. Hope this week has been as good. Thanks for linking up this week.
