Continued Progress on Two Quilts

Work has been gearing up for our peak season, and my time is going to be very limited soon.  My lawn mower has a burning smell so I decided to give it a rest, which gave me some more quilting time. I received my second vaccine, and I tolerated it better than the first one.

2021:  Weeks 16 of 15 Minutes to Stitch

The photo shows the books I bought during the AQS clearance sale. Buying them in a big batch like this makes it difficult to savor each one individually, but I am going to try.

I finished sewing down the binding of the shirts quilt and made great progress with the hand stitching part. That part usually takes me a while. The photo at the top shows the four fabrics used in the backing and the binding.

I also cut more sashing for the Amalfi Coast quilt.

15 minute days this week --7 out of 7
15 minute days this year -- 108 out of 108 days
Success rate  = 100%

I was at 100% at this time last year too.

You've done so well with the stitching time this year. If you have to back off due to the busier work schedule, you've still done well to this point. Hope you can keep up the momentum for another week.

There are some great books in that stack. You'll have fun looking through them and using some of the ideas in new quilts. I tolerated the 2nd shot better than the first too. I was told the side-effects of the 2nd shot would be really bad. I'm glad it wasn't true.

oh, isn't it great to get new books? I can understand wanting to savour them. Maybe you'll have to put some away or look at them again later. I mostly do that with ebooks. I don't like them as much as hard cover books, especially for quilting but they are very handy and much more affordable. I'm organising them to be able to find things quickly. I do like the fact that I can easily do a search within the books. Enjoy!

Some lovely books, there. It looks as if there are lots of wonderful projects in each one of them. So prefer to stitch than mow the lawn. Fabulous now that you are vaccinated.

You get so much done...and doing so good withe 15 minutes to stitch. I have missed two days of the 15 minutes to stitch. Even though the second shot gave me the blues I still got in the minutes. But just barely. Most days have been at least a half hour and a lot have been and hour or two.

It is amazing what you can accomplish working 15 minutes a day. It is one of the things I love about quilting. It's easy to pick up where you left off and easy to set aside as needed.
