June Favorite Pictures

It is that time of the month when I look into the June folder and share my favorite pictures I took this month.  I try to take pictures every day, although that doesn't always happen, and usually when I take one picture, I wind up taking several pictures that day. This month I found eight I want to share with you.

Requisite sky picture.   The striated clouds are interesting. In March, they identified new cloud formations for the first time in 30 years. Who knew there is a Cloud Appreciation Society?

Most people would probably discard this picture, but I really like the brightness of the yellow flower - just pure translucent color - and how the leaves and buds show all the little hairs. Sometimes the interesting things happen in the background.

Everytime I look at this picture, it looks like something is wrong - like two photos were overlapped or something. But this is a digital camera. The leaves just happen to form such a straight line that it looks like two different pictures.

This one makes me think of a secret garden.  The white flowers and leaves invite one to look further inside to see the pink flowers and whatever else is hidden back there.

This is a traditional picture. I like the combination of the white and pink flowers and all those little buds. They plant summer flowers at the school and they tend to look this fabulous after the school lets the kids out for the summer.

The weather has been pretty nice lately,so I've kept the air conditioner off.   Zeus still likes to stake his spot in front of the fan.

I like the shadow this bench makes.

.
There's a baby raccoon in the neighbor's roof! It took over the space after the squirrels were vacated.

You have some interesting photos this month. The sky shot is pretty. I would freak out if I saw a racoon in a hole in someone's roof. They are scary enough on the ground. At first I thought the pink and white flowers were hydrangeas but then I wasn't sure. What are they? I love pink and green together and need to do another quilt in that combination.

I LOVE clouds....I told that to my best friend and she was nonchalant ...clouds are nothing special she said...not for me...I love them and I love your picture of them.

That sky photo is gorgeous! I love to see what the clouds look like when I'm out and about. That raccoon.... Raccoons got into our attic a few weeks ago. At first we thought cats were quarreling outside and then we realized the sound was above our heads (in a section of the second floor of our Cape Cod that has no access from the second floor). And then we heard them thumping and playing. It wasn't long till one of the babies managed to find a small hole in a closet between the floor and the first floor ceiling. You can only imagine our surprise to open the closet and see a baby raccoon looking at us! He was adorable not so friendly. I hope your neighbors get their holes fixed soon!

Great selection of photos this month. I especially like the spirae shots (well that's what we call it - is it the same for you or do you have a different name for it?)

Great photos! So nice to catch up with your monthly shots!

When traveling I noticed a book in some of the museums - a place to record when and where one saw different kinds of clouds. I think it was this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/0811875423/ref=rdr_ext_tmb

Instead of bird watching, cloud watching. Guess it's already out of date though!

Great photos! I love clouds and shadows, too. And I shoot tons of wildflowers, butterflies, and dragon flies.
