2022: 15 Minutes to Stitch Weeks 20, 21, and 22

2022: 15 Minutes to Stitch Weeks 20, 21, and 22

I haven't found time for quilting the last few weeks, so here is another sorry report. I just wanted to let you know that I haven't forgotten you. We still have lots of available overtime and lots of work that makes us feel obligated to do the overtime. There is more yard work.

15 minute days these three weeks --0 out of 21
15 minute days this year -- 108 out of 149 days
Success rate  = 72%

I think this is a record low since I joined the challenge, and things do not look very promising for the next month, but I am getting better at balancing my time so there will be some positive numbers for this coming weekend. The Memorial Day holiday helped. There was a graduation and a memorial day picnic. We planted a tree in my back yard and put Zeus' ashes underneath it. I planted a few vegetables, and added watering them to my calendar to give me a better chance of having a good harvest this year.

It's pretty hard to turn down overtime money and outside work will be more and more now.
Hopefully rain will plentiful and spread out in little doses this summer so we won't have to worry about watering so much.

The challenge is for motivation not necessarily the law. Don't be hard on yourself.

Life is like this, some periods we have time to stitch, at other times we have to shelve our projects. When you are ready, welcome back!

So good to see this post. That is a beautiful rose. I hope you have success with your vegetables. I planted two tomatoes and then two cucumber plants in one pot.

I hope you get to do a bit of sewing now and again...it is so good for me. But even though I don't work, there are days I don't sew. Just the odds and ends of jobs and sometimes I just have so much on my mind that I have trouble being motivated. That being said, that is exactly when I need to make myself go sew. It makes me focus o what I am doing and not on my worries.

Oh Shasta! I missed the post about Zeus when I was in the States in April so I was so surprised to read this. I've gone back and read your previous post now. I'm so sorry to hear that you've lost your good companion. Even though we wouldn't want our furry friends to suffer we'd certainly like them to live with us forever. Zeus had such a good life and you showed your love for him through so many of your posts about him. I will miss hearing about him too as you know what an animal lover I am. So glad that his ashes are in a place nearby. Much love to you. Tanya

I can relate to lots of overtime. That was my April and May. My stitching time metrics for those weeks weren't much better than yours. I'm sorry to hear about Zeus. That's hard when you are working so much and you don't have your buddy to help you destress. Hope you can work in some stitching time along with a bit of down time.
