It is my hope to make a more official document of all of my quilts with a short description about it, so this was a prototype of sorts.
The elephant will be my quilt model and is helping me hold down the pages.
This one managed to get its own page, and I like the quilt so I guess it could stay. It is the biggest quilt in the set. I did try to get the smaller quilts to have smaller pictures and the bigger quilts to get bigger pictures so there was at least a sense of size of quilt, but they aren't exactly proportional like that.
It is a small book, a little bit smaller than 6" x 8" when it is closed. It is a fun little size, easy to take with you as you go.
I did crop the photos as much as possible so only the quilt showed, but sometimes I left the picture whole if it told a story.
A couple of the quilts got more than one picture in the book. Oh well.

What a great way to keep a record of the quilts you've made! :0)
You did a fabulous job. You'll enjoy having this record of your finishes, especially if you no longer have the quilt.
/great idea and I love the book.... such a treasure of memories...

Great idea. I have pictures of all my quilts but they are on different back up discs and USB sticks...and a few "real" pictures from the good ol' days. It would be nice to have them all in one place.
This is a fun book. You make a lot of different style quilts. That's the way I quilt too. I make what I like and don't worry whether it's in or outside the box. I tend to do a lot of folk art too.
It looks great! It's a nice size and I love the photos! Great idea. I will be thinking about doing something similar.
I love this...wonderful
I love the quilt book idea and have made a couple books, one with earlier quilts and now trying to do one every year or so. Trying to include the year and who the quilt was designated for, so they will eventually become memory books. They will go to my daughter when I'm no longer here, along with many of the quilts I still have.
What a great book and with so many wonderful quilts. It's almost like the books that accompany museum exhibits!
What a great way to keep all your quilts at hand! I have taken pictures of all of mine but they stay in a yearly computer file and so I rarely look at them again and never all at once. Good idea!
