2023: 15 Minutes to Stitch Week 17

Tanya shared her watercolor paintings about her trip to see the cherry blossoms and I was inspired to make my own painting on an index card based on her trip.

I am still decorating the index cards from time to time. The thing in the back that holds the cards has broken so I am going to have to fill up the box to keep everything intact.

The last time I showed you the box is 2020. Here is what the box looks like now. I have a lot done, but I don't make them every day, and as you can see, there are plenty of blank index cards left to decorate.

2023: 15 Minutes to Stitch Week 17

I have started making the parts for the stars of the Spicy Stars blocks, even though the Overtime has started. I worked during my breaks, which is a great bonus for working from home. It is so much fun to see how the flavor of the block changes as I stack more blocks on top of the layout.

Sweet little card. I've got to try watercolors someday because I love the way they blend into each other. Still love your "Spicey" colors

I remember some of your earlier index cards. I really like all those warm colors you are using in your Spicy Star blocks. Congrats on maintaining the 100% stitching time even with overtime. That's not easy at all!

I am so glad you were inspired by Tanya. She is a lovely lady and good at so many things. Now that she has limited mobility it is good that she can sit and sketch while the others are more active. Her drawing skills are improving all the time.
Sketching on index cards is a great idea. I guess they don’t take that long to complete and the drawing can be done on a daily base.
Your pile of glowing star and square blocks are growing higher. Keep up the good work.

How exciting to see my cherry blossom outing on your blog! I'm sorry it took me so long to come and visit you. All your index cards are going to be a such fun to look back on someday.

Stitch or make cards when you have time and inspiration. You will have a complete set of illustrated cards one day.
